45 Patterson Street

W.H.Feign operated a dairy from his house on the corner of Patterson and Langridge Streets, sometimes listed as at 45 Patterson Street and sometimes as at 47 Langridge Street. An entrance from Patterson Street gave access to a brick building separate from the house, known as the separator room where a side window could be opened to serve customers. Both milk and cream would have been sold at this window, rather than from the house. Behind this building, beside the lane in Patterson Street, stood a small stable, now converted into a ‘Granny flat’.
